DIY Digital Pinball Machine puts Hundreds of Games in One Console

If you’re a pinball fan, a lack of space and money can put a real damper on your dreams of amassing a big collection. This DIY digital pinball machine stores hundreds of games in the footprint of a single pinball
machine. Instructables user TBarklay wanted the ability to play lots of pinball games in a small space while still retaining the feeling of using a pinball machine. His solution was to build a custom cabinet for the pinball emulation program Visual Pinball. The machine stores hundreds of different pinball games and allows him to easily switch between them. A 24″ monitor servers as the playing surface (he opted for 24″ because of the price point, if you want a more authentically sized table you should use a 37″ HDTV) and a 19″ monitor serves as the backglass display. Check out the video to see it in action–he notes that the boot is the longest part, once you’ve loaded your first games the next games load quickly.
